Amira Jazeera, DJ Nanoos and Mama Yaya will rock the stage at this year’s Palipalooza! Palestine in America hosts an annual cultural event to help fundraise for our quarterly magazine. PiA has not hosted an event since 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s event will be hosted in Chicago at La Estrella Mini Mart and tickets are available at PalestineinAmerica.com for $20.
Palestine in America (PiA) sold out Palipalooza for the first time in the history of its annual event.
The PiA team would like to thank Palipalooza 2019 attendees for filling Al Keif Hookah Lounge to capacity and supporting our artists and vendors on August 22.
Next month at Palestine in America’s annual Palipalooza we will celebrate the relaunch of our website and print magazines with performances, art, and plenty of culture.
Nearly 300 people attended Palestine in America’s second annual Palipalooza at Logan Square Auditorium in Chicago last Thursday. Despite a short delay (sound troubles), attendees were able to celebrate the release of our third annual print issue while enjoying performances by Palestinians artists.
Palestine in America is hosting its second annual Palipalooza event at Logan Square Auditorium on August 10. Palestinian artist Shadia Mansour will be the headliner of this concert event.
Yara Daoud, one of the opening acts for Palipalooza, wrote the poem below as a tribute to the Nakba. Today marks the 69th anniversary of the Nakba, also commonly known as the Palestinian Catastrophe.
This year’s lineup will include: Palestinian-American comedian Dylan Fahoome; Palestinian Debke performer Ahmed Hamad, Palestinian singer and musician Hamze Allaham and his band Baeoa; Palestinian-American rapper Waheeb Nassan; Palestinian-American singer Kareem Ibrahim; and Palestinian-American rapper Safi G!
