Anti-war activist protest Boeing at Air & Water Show

The Chicago Coalition to Shut Down Guantanamo helped organize a press conference and demonstration at North Ave. Beach on Aug. 16.
Protestors ended the event with a die-in. Activist laid on the ground and surrounded a fake warplane shown in the image and video above.
Some people who came to watch the glorification of war machines stopped by the demonstration and watched. Organizers said, initially Chicago police officers who were on the scene, told the protestors they had to leave, but in the end the officers did not force the demonstrators to leave.
